Welcome to the Revit Forum I've created a View Title - not seen family, inserted in a project. When I click (no) on the visibility all others turn off. view title on sheet won't show until second view is placed. I have a project where if I place a view on a sheet, the view title for that first view won't show up until a second view is. When we place a Revit view into a sheet, we will always see the view title placed at the bottom of the view. Some of us can be annoyed by this view title, especially when we have only one view in our sheet. When we have only one sheet, maybe we only want to show the title on our title block, but not under the view. How do we remove it In order to do that, you need to go to the Drawing View (not the Sheet View) and at the bottom you should see what scale the drawing is set to. Click on the scale and then select Custom.... A dialog box should pop up. Click the checkbox that says Display Name and type in the custom Display Name you'd like to appear on the Viewport Title View Title - Referencing Sheet. Something that has been a thorn in our side and a source of much complaints from management has been how to get view referencing correct in Revit. In my attached example file, on sheet 01, the section marker and section View Title information are correct. But when looking at sheet 02, the View Title does not.

If you select and then drag the viewport, the view title remains attached and moves with it. If however, you select the view title directly (not the viewport, but directly on the view title) then you will be moving only the view title. This is how you move it to a different location relative to its parent viewport Select your current View Title, click Edit Type, and duplicate. For the new one, name it appropriately and next to Title under graphics, select the new view title that you created. Be sure to uncheck Show Extension Line. If you would like a line to show between the View Title and the scale, you will need to draw your own in the Family If you right-click on View Title in the Project Browser and select Edit... you can see it in the family editor. When a Label is selected, you see a box and grips appear. The location of the grip on the right determines when the title text (in this example) will wrap to create a second line User's Guide: View Titles on Sheets When you place a view on a sheet, by default Revit Architecture displays a view title. 1. When you place a view on a sheet, Revit looks through your sheets to see what the referencing sheet should be. It also does this when you adjust the scope of your view.
